Life the last few months..

This summer has been so so busy...I'm actually glad its over and fall is setting in here in Cedar City. Its getting a little colder and we used the heater for the first time this morning...Thomas decided to come live with us and we are thrilled he is here. Kevin and Thomas get along great and spend time together when ever they can. Thomas is so good to his sisters and is the best big brother. Him and Kambree started school in August. They attend a charter school called Gateway Prep. They teach the Montessori Method and I LOVE IT! Thomas and Kambree ride the bus together in the mornings, he makes sure Kambree sits with him every day and even gets her breakfast at school. He is so wonderful.

Kevin started school in August as well. He is sailing through most of his classes..his Physics class has proven to be a bit of a pain, but I know he will do his best to pass. He was also diagnosed with severe sleep apnea this summer and now sleeps with a CPAP machine at night. So far so good. His Dr. told us that the poor quality of sleep is what has been causing his bad moods, low ambition, anxiety, and I seriously could go on and on and on about everything that sleep apnea can effect. Dr Watkins said he has most likely had this his whole life! WOW! 32 years with crap for sleep...no wonder he has never felt good..and tired all the time...I'm happy we caught it when we did because it can cause heart attack, diabetes, and depression...and on and on...he will have to use this machine for the rest of his life but it is so worth it. Since using it he has had more energy when waking up, school and family life is not as overwhelming to him. He is happy and that makes me happy for him.

Kathryn is 4 today. She is not in preschool yet because I want her all to myself this year while Kambree is at school. Maybe next year..she loves babies and animals and talks about riding Nanna and Papa's horse and tractor ALL the time. I have a feeling she will be the little girl who will be under a car helping Daddy with his jeep. She is not afraid to get dirty and LOVES the mud! Most of all she cuddles...I love it when she cuddles with me...she has a way of making my heart melt!

Kambree is in Kindergarten now and she loves it...when I pick her up after school she is usually very tired and ornery. Her and Kathryn are best friends and usually play well together. We have a puppy named Poppy and Kambree is her favorite! She will even sleep under her bed at night until Kevin or I put her in her kennel for the night...Poppy doesn't like that. Kambree is a social butterfly and has LOTS of friends. For some reason children of all ages flock to her. She is a natural leader, a little bossy at times, but none the less, a great loyal friend. She loves church and cant wait to be baptized..that's a little over a 2 year wait! I love having her as my daughter and she is a great example to me every day..she is so innocent and loving.

The barbie is from a Hippie's car somewher in Nevada. I love her...
Below is my beautiful sister DeAnna and then me.ugh...

This is the best picture out of every picture I took...I love Landon with Grandma.
 YUM crab!!

As for me, there is not much to say. I live my life for my kids. I have been told that's a bad thing. My bishop said that I need to focus on me so my family can be happy. I have never done that. I don't know how. Every day anything I do is for my family. So the second week in September I took a trip to Oregon with my step mom Erin. It was hard for me to be away from my kids for 12 days, but I did it and I'm glad I did. We drove through Bend, Oregon to pick up my sister DeAnna and her family. They came to the cost with us to crab. When we got to Bandon we stayed in a Yurt. There was fog EVERYWHERE and I could smell the ocean from our camp! What a wonderful smell it is! I love the ocean. We went crabbing the first day we were there and my cousin Davis was there with his wife and two kids. They have a boat and we ended up catching our limit in crab on the first day! We had dinner at our camp with Davis and his family almost every night! It was so much fun playing with his little girls and getting to know his wife. The rest of the week in Bandon we played at the beach, walked around Bandon shopping at all the cute little shops, and relaxed! It was an awesome trip and I hope to do it again someday..but I might have to bring my kids with me next time:) Erin and I talked the whole way to and from Oregon. It was seriously an amazing experience to be with her the whole time and really get to know her. After 24+ years I finally feel like we really connected and I'm so happy I had this experience with her.

Little Lady is 4!

WOW! Kathryn is 4 today...how time flies...my baby girl went from being a quiet 9 pound new born to a fun, smart, beautiful girl...Kathryn is very quiet around people she doesn't know, but once she warms up to you there is no getting rid of her...she is very loyal. I absolutely LOVE having her as my daughter and thank Heavenly Father for her every day...she is such a joy. We had a birthday party for her on Saturday. Kathryn invited some of the neighbor kids she plays with often. I painted their faces, they did a fun Halloween craft, and Grandma and Grandpa Garrett brought a cotton candy machine! It was a HIT! This is the first birthday party with friends she has ever had and now I'm pretty sure she is addicted...Happy Birthday to my baby girl Kathryn Elley Whipple!

Pictures of our house...

Here are some pictures of our cute little house...we LOVE IT!

Above is the front of our house...we have TONS of neighbors and the girls have lots of kids to play with...
This is the living room and you can see the dining room too...we have vaulted ceilings and plant shelves...I have no idea what to put up there..something simple and cheap...I love how it makes the small living room look big...and open...
Our Kitchen is small but absolutely wonderful! We have a gas stove and LOVE it!!
This is the Dining room view from the kitchen...I dont have everything hung up yet...we are getting there though...
View from the hallway into the living room.

My room, it has a sliding glass door that goes to our back yard...and a full master bathroom, with a walk in closet...
View of bathroom door and more plant shelves from my bed....
View from our room down the hall to the girls room and bathroom to the left is where the washer and dryer live:)
This is Daddy's office and hope it will be a room for Thomas someday...right next to it is Kambree and Kathryn's room..
The girls room is right next to the guest bathroom, it is pretty messy thats why there are no more pictures...they like to color in the bathroom..thats why its full of paper and crayons...
Our back yard ROCKS! Its a little small but its ours...we have no houses behind us and we love the view...
This is the back of the house...the girls love to play in their pool...This year we planted tomato's and strawberries!
Finally!! This is our VIEW!! We had a turkey come see us this year on Easter Morning! We see TONS of deer and feed the chipmunks every day!

So far behind....

I am so far behind on posting its not even funny....

First off I wanted to share some pictures of the girls project they did this spring. Kambree got a butterfly kit from insectlore for her birthday this year. It came with the butterfly net to hold them in and a coupon to order your butterfly larvae anytime of the year...they came ALIVE in a little cup and yes they were mailed right to us...we got five total. The food they eat was piled at the bottom of the cup they live in..you never open the cup and play with them because it might disturb their eating and growing...after they have grown to a good size after about two weeks, they crawl to the top of the cup where they attach themselves to a thin piece of paper, hang upside down and change from caterpillar to chrysalis...once ALL of them have done this, you open the lid, take the paper off and pin it to the inside of the butterfly net...wait two weeks and waaalaaah! Butterfly's emerge from their chrysalis!! This was a very rewarding project for the girls and us too...we let them go and some of them crawled up and down our arms before lift off...If anyone ever wants a good science project to do as a family, I highly recommend this!
